My name is Sandra Hayes. I am a psychosexual therapist (or sex therapist) serving the Colchester area of Essex and I am convenient for the south Suffolk area.

I work with both individuals and couples of any sexual identity (heterosexual, homosexual and bisexual). My services are completely confidential and I treat all clients in a caring, non-judgmental manner.

Typical Sex Therapy Sessions

I will never ask you to do anything sexual in the therapy room; all we do there is talk. I may ask you to do some behavioural exercises at home because changing what you do can often change your thoughts and emotions.

I typically use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which explores the interaction between how we think, feel and behave. I may also use some psychodynamic techniques, which involve exploring how unconscious thought processes may be reflected in your behaviour.

I see clients initially for an assessment, to ensure Psychosexual Therapy (PST) is the most appropriate thing at this time, then spend several sessions taking client history and discussing my findings. Then I devise a treatment plan with you and commence therapy.

£60 for 60 minute session.
